Specifics will be confirmed prior to the session. However sturdy walking boots or wellies are essential to most marks. Always bring at least a light waterproof even in blazing sunshine, we are in Wales after all! Bring at least a drink, also food for longer sessions and anything medical required.

In terms of fishing equipment, if you have your own then you are more than welcome to bring and use it. I do have basic set ups available to use, cost included, should you require gear. I will ask that you sign a disclaimer to confirm that I have informed you of everything you need to bring and understand the risks associated with fishing our chosen mark.

Absolutely not! Your session is tailored to your aims and ability. For complete beginners I will give a crash course of all the different equipment, safe casting practice and watercraft; all essential to successful fishing. This will take place on a venue that is easy to fish and we can explore a variety of different techniques that will help improve your catches in future.

The time you are paying for is fishing time, so the clock starts when we are set up ready to make the first casts and stops when we are packing up.

You have paid for my guidance under the premise that you will be the one to catch. Therefore I will not fish myself, unless there is exceptional circumstances. These include trying a different method if the fishing is very slow, feathering for fresh bait, or show the variety of species available at a certain area. Of course this would be dependent on your approval.

The method of approach will be entirely up to you. I have primarily fished with bait in the past but recently moved onto more lure fishing with good success. Whatever your preferred method I have the marks and knowledge to put you onto some fish.

Time flies when your having fun, so to get the most out of the session I recommend a minimum 3 hours, though if you wish shorter sessions can be arranged. I ask for the payment of 3 hours as a deposit to confirm your booking. Our minimum fishing time is decided beforehand so the rest of the balance can be paid prior to fishing. Payments can be made by transfer, paypal or prior arrangement cash on the day. Details can be provided at time of booking.
